What have you learned so far that you can apply in your instructional practice?
What goals are you still working toward?
So far, execution of my GAME plan has resulted in new ideas for incorporating wikis in my classroom. I also feel more confident with the program provided by my school, and I am aware of some other teachers in my building who can help me in this process.
Based on the NETS-T, what new learning goals will you set for yourself?
If you are not ready to set new learning goals, how will you extend what you have learned so far?
I would like to set new learning goals for becoming familiar with and incorporating even more technology tools into my classroom. As I continue through my coursework, I am constantly learning about more and more ways to incorporate technology into the classroom. In addition, I need to use technology to enhance my own knowledge base. For example, I could create a twitter account to network with other educators.
What learning approaches will you try next time to improve your learning?
To improve my learning, I need to spend more time investigating the uses of technology in the classroom. Educational newsletters and blogs contain current information about new technologies and how other teachers are using them. Keeping up with current educational news about technology will help me to achieve my goals of incorporating more technology into my classroom.

Corinne,
ReplyDeleteIt is great that you have other colleagues who may help you in the process of using more technology in the classroom, also having communication with them because it is beneficial for students and teachers. As you I will be using blogs, wikis and twitter in the classroom, they are very informative and excellent tools.
Corinne,
ReplyDeleteI think it is awesome that you have colleagues who are willing to work with and technology. I work with a lot of people who don't respond to technology well, so it is kind of hard trying to get anybody to work with me. Some teachers have Smart boards that are covered in dust, and they were all at the training with me. Good luck with using the wikis and twitter in your classroom.
Shonda,
ReplyDeleteYour comment about Smart boards reminded me of a story I heard recently about a teacher who uses the Smart board as a screen on which to project an image from an overhead projector! The thought makes me cringe! I wish we had more ongoing training about using the Smart boards. I think more teachers would use them consistently and creatively in the classroom if we did.
Corinne,
ReplyDeleteI too am going to try to incorporate more of the technology tools into my room. Don't you feel like there is soooo much that could be incorporated that it is hard to comprehend incorporating it all at once. One step at a time, one technology at a time.
